Who is this for?
Students in grades 4–8. The studio is intentionally mixed-age. Every builder works on their own project, and each gets a project scaffold matched to their readiness — more structure for younger or newer builders, more open choice for older or experienced builders.
What does a week look like?
One live weekly group class, shared office hours where students can sign up for a slot, and roughly 30–60 minutes of optional independent work.
Can we book 1:1 time with the instructor?
Yes — private 30-minute 1:1 sessions are planned as an optional add-on for students who want individual time beyond the shared office hours. Pricing is TBC and will be shared before enrollment is finalized. Add-ons are always opt-in and agreed in advance; nothing is ever charged automatically.
When are classes?
The next January studio begins the week of January 5, 2027. The exact weekday and time are still TBC and will be late afternoon or early evening Eastern Time. Interested families can share their schedule preference on the interest form.
What if the class time doesn't work for us?
If the confirmed class day or time doesn't work for your family, your deposit is refunded in full — no hassle. We'd rather give the seat to someone who can make it than have a builder miss out.
How many students?
Six students maximum. Every studio is capped at six by design; when one fills, the next studio opens with its own dates.
What technology does my student need?
A reliable internet connection and a laptop, desktop computer, or iPad. A smartphone can work too — the instructor personally builds in Lovable on her phone — but it's harder to switch between the live class and app-building tools on a small screen, so a larger device is recommended when available. No expensive equipment or previous coding experience required.
Are classes recorded?
Group classes may be recorded and shared privately with enrolled families only, with parent consent collected at enrollment. 1:1 meetings are not recorded.
What is Demo Day?
In week 9, builders present their projects to families and invited guests, answer questions, and reflect on their process.
Will my student build independently on an app-building platform?
Optional independent build access may be offered, subject to each platform's terms and minimum-age/minor eligibility rules. Where a student isn't eligible, building happens in class with the instructor or with a parent's account and supervision, as permitted by the platform.
Are there platform or AI credit costs?
Some building tools use credits. How credits are included and whether optional add-on credits are offered is still TBC and will be shared clearly before enrollment is finalized. There will be no surprise charges — anything beyond tuition will be opt-in and agreed in advance.
How does payment work?
Tuition is $280 total. A $29 deposit holds a seat and is credited toward tuition, leaving $251. The remaining $251 is only collected after the cohort fills, on a schedule you explicitly authorize — pay in full or installments. Nothing is charged automatically without your documented authorization. Online deposits open only once secure checkout is live and tested.
What if the cohort doesn't fill?
If fewer than six paid deposits are received by December 5, 2026, every $29 deposit is refunded.
What is the Family Pass?
Enrolled families receive at-home materials so parents and siblings can follow along. A 25% sibling discount applies to a sibling's own live seat if one is available. Siblings don't get access to private student sessions without their own registration.
How do we pay the remaining $251?
Once your studio has all six seats, you'll choose on your private family page: pay $251 in full, or three payments of about $84 (today, then roughly 30 and 60 days later). Installments only happen if you explicitly authorize them, and nothing else is ever charged.
Is there something we can try before enrolling?
Yes! Our free family starter project walks a kid and a grown-up through building a simple family calendar app together. Find it at /family-starter-project.
Can we cancel?
Yes. You can cancel yourself from your private family page any time before the first class, and everything you've paid is refunded in full.
I lost my family page link. How do I get back in?
Your private link is in your welcome email. If you can't find it, visit /family and use "Find my family page" with the email you enrolled with. Nadia will email the link to that address only.
Is there a welcome packet?
Yes, for the January 2027 studio. Once all six seats are confirmed by December 5 and we've verified your mailing address, we prepare a personalized packet and mail it, aiming for it to arrive before Christmas. Postal transit is out of our hands, so arrival can't be guaranteed. You'll get a separate email when it actually ships, with tracking if available. Later studios have their own dates and don't include a holiday mailing.
Does this give school credit?
No. Builders Club is not accredited and does not award credit. Homeschool families may find the planning guide and scope & sequence helpful for their own records.
